About

Bryan was born in San Diego, CA, but lived in Northern California, Idaho and Alabama before his is family started calling St. Louis, MO home. After taking all the photography classes his high school offered, he started to take pictures of his friends skateboarding and at every punk rock show he could get a camera into. After graduating, he started studying photography at St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley and finished his BFA in Photography at the University of Missouri – St. Louis. Bryan went on to received his MFA from the University of Connecticut in 2001.

That same year he moved to Washington, DC to work at Adamson Editions as a digital fine art printmaker. After printing work for many well known artists and photographers, he switched careers and began working as a production designer at an advertising agency. This marked the start of what would become Bryan's career in Advertising, Public Relations, Digital Marketing and Events agencies.

In late 2012, after over 11 years in DC, Bryan moved back to St. Louis with his wife and daughter. After leaving Fleishman Hillard, Bryan started working as a Producer in The Moment Studio, the social content studio at digital agency Deep Focus. Later, Bryan helped manage the creative department and the marketing efforts for ITC, an events production agency in St. Louis. Currently, he is the Executive Content Producer in The Studio at The Cigna Group's in-house agency known as IA.

Throughout this time Bryan has been consistently making photographs. While exploring a range of subjects, his street work has been the primary focus. These pictures are about finding moments, situations and experiences that speak to what it’s like to be an American. They also work on a personal level to explore nostalgia, the passage of time, solitude and the process of photographing. He is currently working on editing and designing a book from this body of work shot over the past twenty years.

Also, writing about yourself in the third person is weird.
